'I'm changing my last name to my wife's thus ending the linage': Estranged father reconnects with his son after 20 years, blows off meeting him and his pregnant wife to play golf

People make a lot of jokes about dads who go out for milk and never come back, but the reality of it is harrowing. I can't imagine how horrible it would be for one of my parents to disappear out of nowhere and continue their lives without caring to include me in it. It's so tragic when estranged parents put the onus on their kids to be the ones to reach out when they were the ones who left in the first place. 

Sometimes, the best revenge is just to do better than they did in life. One adult son of an estranged father recently went viral for getting back in contact with his dad. The son has a wife and is expecting a baby of their own. One hour before the dad was supposed to meet up with him after 20 years of estrangement, he ditched him to play golf. Some people never change.
