Nerdiness is a hell of a drug. Once you try one science fiction movie and like it, it's impossible to stop. One of your friends suggests you give Star Wars a try, and a week later, you are binge-watching Battlestar Galactica and buying Star Trek Funko Pops. You read one chapter of Lord of the Rings, and you suddenly find yourself knee-deep in a Dungeons and Dragons session with a bunch of sweaty, role-playing nerds.

Also, your very definition of what is cool changes completely. You used to think rockstars and athletes were cool, and now you find yourself walking around some nerdy convention, pointing at cosplayers and saying, "Oh my god, they are so cool!" Are they, though? (Yes, they are VERY cool!) So, let your nerd flag fly, enjoy whatever you like, and don't let anyone (especially all those "normal" people) tell you what's cool and what's not! You do you!
