Anyone who has ever worked in retail will know that you deal with your fair share of insufferable customers. The crotchety Karens and wannabe scammers are basically a rite of passage in the trade. What not everyone appreciates however is that the kind of customers that you are bound to hate turn up just as regularly in higher-end establishments as they do in your local Walmart.
A case in point is a recent video in which a shopkeeper became irate at a rich kid who attempted to buy a whole wheel of parmesan cheese. Totaling a nearly $2000 sale, he refused to ring up the entitled customer on principle. While the prospective cheese buyer was none too pleased with this arrangement, he didn't really have the support of the majority of viewers on social media. One thing's for sure, all quality cheese demands a respect that he probably wasn't willing to give.
