Woman Hires Entitled Wedding Planner Who Doesn't Respect Her Wedding Preferences, Bride-To-Be Is Fed Up: ‘She seems to think it’s her way or the highway’
Planning a wedding is no easy feat. The complications that come with figuring out florals, seating charts, catering, and a handful of other priorities can be difficult to push through. To most women, the struggles are worth it. At the end of the day, when a wedding comes together perfectly, the payoff is astounding. However, when you're planning a wedding and the planner you've hired doesn't take your choices and decisions into consideration, you're putting yourself under unnecessary stress. A planner/"day of" coordinator is supposed to alleviate your worries, not create more of them!
The woman in this story is struggling with this exact issue. She was looking for a "day of" coordinator and interviewed a few of them. The person she wanted to hire didn't work out, so she had to opt for a different one. That person is the star of this tale.
Off the bat, the planner talked about all of her ideas for the wedding without consulting with the bride-to-be. When the woman tells the planner that she already has an idea for decor, the planner remarks, "Oh, I didn't think to ask about that." Isn't that was wedding coordinators are supposed to do immediately? The planner then takes a long amount of time to complete the brunt of the work, explaining that she was hoping the bride would reconsider some of her choices.
