Hey there, all you wholesome hoomans! We hope you're ready for the weekend (we have been since Monday), and we've got just the heartwarming story to carry you softly into the weekend with a warm soul and plenty of pawsitivity. One woman was out gardening one day when she found a fawn that bad been abandoned by his mother. The poor little guy started crying, so she took him to a wildlife center to see what to do with him. They were full, so they basically said "Take him, he's yours!"
She and the baby deer grew very close, like having a playful puppy that lives in the forest! But, she knew the right thing to do was to keep him wild, so he slept outdoors and was free to come and go as he pleased. One day, he left with a bunch of other fawns that showed up on her property. A month later, he comes back to live again with his hooman mom, and it's the most wholesome thing you'll probably see all day. The video (and your weekend) are waiting below - check it out now!
This job just makes us want to have all the animals as pets. Deer? Yes please. Raccoons? Absolutely. Don't even get us started on foxes. Basically, we want to be the Snow White of pet owners.
Apparently, momma deer will leave their young in a hidden spot while they go forage for food, but if the fawn shows signs of malnourishment and dehydration, it's a common sign that they've been abandoned. She did the right thing in checking with the wildlife experts!
