After his heart was broken by his cheating ex, they take her side when she's invited to his brother's wedding. He doesn't even refuse to come, he just doesn't want to pay for the wedding anymore. His family hounds him down, demanding regale behavior in the context of his heartbreak and betrayal from a past love. In my opinion, there's nothing worse than a family who would take the side of your heartbreaker.
