Gaming is a fabulous way to pass the time. If you have a couple of hours with nothing to do, playing a video game is sure to make that time fly by in a flash. It's impressive, actually, the way the clock seems to move faster when we have a controller in our hands. Maybe it's because we're totally absorbed in something. Or maybe it's simply an example of the old adage "Time flies when you're having fun." It engages our brains, our reflexes, and our hand-eye coordination, and gives us objectives to complete. It's like condensing the experience of living life down into a fast-paced, small size. Things move quicker.
