What's your comfort watch? The advent of at-home movie viewing has brought the genre of comforting TV/movies to a new level. Shows are being produced specifically to play in the background. We put on old episodes of things we've seen dozens of times before. We want to be lulled to sleep by cozy, familiar movies where we know the ending and we're along for the ride. That's one of the reasons why Star Wars is such an enduring cultural artifact. We can return to it time after time and it doesn't lose its shine. Sure, we might recognize some of the special effects as outdated, but the story remains classic and the characters remain iconic. 

Not everything from the 70s has retained this level of relevance. Nobody is trying to revive Happy Days as far as I know, though maybe they should. But another thing that keeps Star Wars relevant is memes. And we've got some good ones for you right here.
