Wholesome Black Cat Goes From Feisty Feline to Protective Pawrent After Realizing Her Hooman Mother is Pregnant, Internet Goes 'Awwww' in Response

We love our black cat, but she is not the cuddliest of creatures. She likes her own space and she comes for cuddles whenever she wants them, but it's rare when she comes to cuddle with us for an extended period of time. We kind of thought all black cats were like this, but now we just understand that we need to get pregnant! Shortly after realizing her hooman mother was pregnant, the wholesome black cat in this story (who is a feisty feline, like ours), started snoozing on the pregnant momma's belly every morning. How awwdorable!

When those motherly instincts kick in, they kick in hard. Appawrently, they can even hear the baby inside the mom's tummy depending on how far along they are.     If we knew before that all we had to do was get pregnant, we would have done it already! Just kidding, we're not ready for any hooman children anytime soon. We're always ready for a new kitten, though.

    I wasn't sure if she had noticed I was pregnant but the past week as it's gotten chillier this is her new spot and I'm taking it as a sign that she has realized I'm pregnant. Be still my heart, I can't handle how cute it is.

    AdMinimum7811 • 1d ago Mother instinct has kicked in. She is in full guardian mode. Love female voids for this. Mine guards the house, literally patrols the entire house and waits until I and the older male void to fall asleep and she's sure it's safe before she comes in to sleep.

    This is absolutely awwdorable. You go, momma. You protect that house, work those late hours, and make sure the fuzzy family is safe from any dangers (squirrels, birds, etc) that might disturb them.

    Glitchykins8 · 1d ago I got 8 cats. For 5 of them I just had a flare up of my Crohn's for their first time and was bed ridden for multiple days. The original 3 knew did their usual which is to check in on me from time to time and then they lay in the room to be near but they like their own space. The 4 kittens and their mom never left the bed and some laid on me constantly. It was amusing every time I woke

    was amusing every time I woke up in pain to see so many eyes light up in my dark bedroom and just stared at me and then purr. My one void of the bunch was almost constantly laying under the blanket with me and curled up against me. It felt so good to have so much love everywhere

    Boring_Election_16... 14h ago I have a 12 yo void who, to the best of my knowledge, never had kittens because she was likely spayed as a voidlet. But if I am watching a video with mewing kittens (or even something with big cat cubs), she comes right over and starts nosing my phone, pawing and meowing like she is looking for the babies. I have to turn it off because she's borderline agitated. Really interesting that that instinct is there!
