For most people, when they enjoy a piece of media, they usually forget about it after a few weeks. They might read a little bit about the history of the piece or the people involved, and recommend it to friends, but that would be it for them. Other people, people who get easily wrapped in fan cultures, go through an entirely different experience when they find something they truly cherish and enjoy. 

I always described myself as 'the perfect consumer' when it comes to what I do with the content I enjoy. Because once I get into it, I cannot get out. I will consume every bit of information, reading, watching, and buying everything related to that piece of media, and will not shut up about it for months. I truly am the dream consumer for anyone trying to 'sell' their creation to the public, just as long as it lights up a spark in me.

I went as far as finding a job that involved researching and writing all about geeky content – like this incredibly enchanting Reddit discussion, in which Harry Potter fans share what they wished would have been explored more in the wizarding world.

    of stairs is too boring to be allowed to exist in a magical school. edit- i just realized how stupid i sound complaining about something in hogwarts being a safety hazard as if the place isn't littered with a bunch of things that can children easily.

Otherwise how did Harry become more proficient in dueling as he got older?
