Now, what does one have to do to be considered for one of these positions? As much as we all enjoy criticizing folks who get paid a fortune to do next to nothing, it wouldn't hurt to get a taste of how the other half lives, would it?

There were a few industries in this list that came up multiple times, so clearly, more than one individual feels the same way about people who work in finance, consulting, or corporate middle management. Someone in the comments section phrased it in the best way when they said that if your job is to essentially track the progress of the folks below you and report it to one person directly above you, then your job probably shouldn't exist. No one's naming names here, but we all have worked with folks whose responsibilities exemplified that exact description.

    P... On an episode of 'idiot abroad' Carl spent time with people from Japan who were paid to cry at peoples funerals. Not just crying but actual bawling and making a scene crying. I can't remember if it pays well but it is definitely useless.
