24 Lord of the Rings Memes for Middle Earth Couples on a Journey to Mordor This Week
Best friends dress up and go out together–it's a female pastime that has been largely the same from generation to generation. But like Frodo and Sam's little orc-themed dress-up party in the pits of Mordor, it doesn't always go to plan.
Although we ladies aren't trying to hide from the all-seeing eye of Sauron as we attempt to destroy the One Ring of power in the fires of Mount Doom, our costumed dress-up parties do serve a function of stealth in our human world. We dress up in cute little outfits and snazzy little shoes to show off the best of ourselves and thus, melt into a crowd of females all doing the same thing.
Girl power recognizes girl power.
So while the Hobbits disguised as regular ole orcs probably aren't getting compliments in the bathroom from other orc folk, the feeling of dressing up and getting recognized by your stylish kin feels nice. And that, ladies, is why we love to dress up and go out with our besties–because blending in means that we're part of a larger, female collective and have a connection with all of our fellow sparkling goddesses out there.
