I love talking to animals like their babies. I don't care if anyone thinks it's cringe to speak to a pet in a singsongy voice because no amount of cringe will get me to stop. There are a lot of people who don't think we should talk to babies with baby talk because it will stunt their language development. Whether that's true does not matter to me because no matter how sophisticated you speak to a dog, he won't become Martha Speaks, so you might as well have fun with it. My dad is literally obsessed with writing and singing songs about our dogs. The dogs wag their tails and squeak with delight when they hear my father's compositions about them, and even though they can't understand the lyrical complexity at play, I know that they know the song is about them. If you love your animals so much that it makes you want to burst out into song, these animal memes might beget some tunes.
