Every pet owner obsessed with their furbaby has wished at one point or another that their animal could talk. It would make communication so much easier, plus, how are you supposed to say sorry and that it was an accident when you stepped on their tail?? The miscommunication has it's adorable traits, like when you tell them something and they tilt their head like they're trying really hard to understand. That truly makes any dog person swoon.
However, as a responsible dog owner, you should also be able to understand your dogs as best you can. Many pawrents are able to tell when their furbaby has to use the bathroom, or when they are feeling scared, or annoyed. It's all part of the job of being the best dog mom or dad! One heartbreaking trait a pawrent never wants to see, but will understand when they do is seeing their furbaby grieving.
Madeline White, mother of doggo siblings Murphy and his sister Poutine posted a video that has all of the internet in tears. After Murphy, who was much older than Poutine, passed Poutine picked up a trait of his only two days after his passing—his love for howling. They saw that Poutine, who never howled, started howling just like Murphy did. "I was one of those people who cried about my dog dying for years when he was perfectly healthy," White captions the video. "And I STILL wasn't prepared for this…" Grab a box of tissues and have a watch of the video below!
