Woman Kicks Sister Out of Her Home After Letting Her Stay During Hurricane, Claiming Sister’s Guilt Game and Entitlement Have Gone Too Far
This hurricane season has left (and still leaves) all of us in a state of shock, while also leaving many people without their homes. As people evacuated their homes, they had to rely on friends and family to open their houses for them and provide them with a roof over their heads.
While it is a traumatic experience, and nobody wants to be in the shoes of someone who just lost their home, it is important to remember that when people open their homes for you, you are a guest in their safe space and you should act accordingly. Be grateful for the people you have in your life, and for the help they are willing to offer. Acting entitled and guilt-tripping your friends and family will not get you far.
The sisterly dispute in this Reddit story happened after OP (original poster) opened her home for her evacuated sister. However, instead of acting grateful for all the help, the sister did not stop complaining about the house rules OP wanted her to keep. Eventually, the situation got so bad, that OP ended up kicking her sister out.
