Lunch is both a godsend and a curse in the working day. On the one hand it offers an opportunity to step back from your work, the mounting pressure and if you are feeling particularly antisocial it gives you an opportunity to escape your coworkers. On the other hand, it leaves you feeling sluggish, makes you question why the heck you are still working after you were just free for a brief moment, and makes you stare incessantly at the clock waiting for the end of the working day to come. It is often said that cats live the best lives amongst any species who comes into contact with hooman civilization. Which is rather amusing considering how hard dogs have worked throughout the years to become 'man's best friend' only to be turned into Frankensteins of themselves.
