The relationship between cats and human babies is one of the sweetest that we have ever seen. Everyone is always so worried about the cats not accepting the babies or hurting the babies or doing other not-so-kind things to them, and although we agree that there should be supervision, we have seen enough to be very hopeful about our future kids and cats getting along.

Cats and kids can become best friends, and for ones that they choose and love, cats will go out of their way to protect the babies. That's how it is. They scheme together. They plot together. They nap together, talk to one another, play with each other. Cats love babies, and babies love cats, so when your baby decides to name your cat, you go with it, because it is the only right thing to do. No matter how ridiculous that name might be. And oh, those names are so ridiculous sometimes.

You have to admit. Names given to cats are the best of all pets. All of them. They are either hyper-human, like Meredith, or they are absolutely ridiculous like, Captain Stinky Pants, CSP for short. And it's purrfect.

And behind every ridiculous name, there is an equally ridiculous story. Every single time. The cats out there that are called Captain Stinky Pants… we are sure that their booties have a naturally Very Pleasant odor, or they have made someone else pants quite stinky at some point. And either one is hissterical.
