If you ask us, a modern day Cinderella would be almost identical to the original, except that Cinderella would have a pawdorable feline protector who would exact revenge upon her whole family while she left to pursue her dreams at the ball. And that is the spirit that today's story brings with it, the heartwarming and uplifting notion that when we need them most, our fiercely loyal feline friends will be there by our side to save and protect us from the evils around us.
And sure, sometimes evil dresses up as a family member who is conniving, crass and generally disliked by all. But that will not stop a caring cat from identifying the threat and being there to say what their hooman cannot in the same moment. And that is exactly what this clever catto did for his cat momma when she was rudely visited by an unwanted aunt.

This is such a classic tale when you step back for a moment. It represents the difference between the family you are given and the family that you choose. Disney should really be taking notes from this story and others like it for their net big blockbuster film. Maybe they could call it guardians of the feet…

It is so nice when there is a happy ending and the evil witch is ousted from society, leaving the simple townsfolk to live their humble lives in peace and prosperity. All thanks to the glorious guardian angel cat. We are truly undeserving of the wonder that is cats.
