'I choose to no longer entertain this position': HR abruptly cancels job candidate's scheduled interview and hires someone else, that person rejects them, HR comes crawling back

It's always challenging to entertain an opportunity from people who once rejected you. Of course, there are plenty of scenarios in which one should not allow one's ego to keep oneself from a legitimately great opportunity, especially if the initial rejection was polite and sensibly delivered. However, that was certainly not the case with this Redditor's unfortunate situation.

He had a previously scheduled interview with human resources for a job opportunity that was then abruptly canceled before he even had the chance to prove himself. Essentially, HR decided to go with a different candidate before letting him have his previously scheduled interview. As it turns out, karma's wheels were turning, and the other job candidate quickly rejected the opportunity. It was as if they had a sixth sense and could tell that this was not the ideal work environment. So as fate would have it, HR came crawling back to the Redditor begging him to come in and interview. Now, with the upper hand, the Redditor was ready to speak his mind.

    And I hung up....and the called right back. Didn't answer and she didn't leave a voicemail Edit: this job was for 15 hours a week at $17/hr. It's not really a great career move if you know what I mean.

    Contact the CEO via LinkedIn and inform him of the conduct of his HR representative. It's probably the reason that the first candidate bailed.
