Entitled boomer thinks senior discounts are a ‘thank you’ for his generation’s greatness, son puts him in his place: 'Do you have ANY idea what we've done for this country in our lifetimes?'

As you get older and watch your parents morph into full-blown Boomers, you start to realize just how wild their logic can get. Take this guy's dad, for example, who believes that senior citizen discounts aren't just a business tactic—they're an honor bestowed upon Boomers for everything they've done for this country. Really?

His son tries to gently explain that these discounts are just a clever way to bring in more customers during off-peak hours. But, naturally, this sends his dad into full-on Boomer rage mode. He launches into a rant about how every other generation is the worst and how Boomers built everything from scratch. Sound familiar? Entitled Boomer behavior at its finest. The comments section, of course, didn't disappoint. One person hilariously asked, "If senior discounts are to thank Boomers, what do kid discounts mean?" Touché. Boomers sure do know how to make everything about them, even when it's just a few bucks off a meal.

    were expected to know about/ask for it, and I got myself into so much trouble either a) giving them the discount when they weren't 55 and they'd get offended, or b) they didn't look 55 and I didn't give it to them and they got offended. I really didn't care about my $11/hr job and just gave the discount to every single customer who came through my line on Tuesdays, lol.

You just had to fill out an attached card and mail it in to register it. I filled it out thinking I might as well throw off their data collection metrics and give them fake information.     children. Then put down my physical address as the house next to me and a email address that I use to collect spam and contractor quotes. A few years go by and I look at my receipt and I notice I'm getting a 5% Senior Citizens discount when I shop on a Wednesday. So I started to grocery to shop on Wednesdays from now on.
