'I won't do business with family': Entitled fully grown uncle tries to convince nephew to co-sign on a loan for a new home, nephew refuses causing family drama

Drawing boundaries with family members is often a necessity. It's not fun to do, but if you don't do it, people are going to rely on you well into their adult years, when they are supposed to be independent. Here, we're not dealing with an overly kind and compromising parent to a needy adult man-child, which is often the case when we come across these stories. Instead, we're dealing with an overly kind and compromising nephew to an even more childish and messy uncle.

This uncle had a series of conflicts with his siblings that ultimately resulted in them owing him a ton of money they were refusing to pay back. Now, he wanted to buy his own house but he didn't have the funds or the organization to be able to afford a down payment. However, rather than settle matters with his brothers, he turned to his competent and overly generous nephew, who finally learned to stand up for himself when he refused to get involved in this mess. Cue more family drama!
