Twitter can be a treacherous place, full of bots and bad takes and people from your high school that you forgot you follow. But it can also be a bastion. It's where your friends are cracking jokes, where you hear silly new stories, and where you pick up phrases that will forever alter your lexicon. It's full of contradictions because people are full of contradictions. We want to eat 6 bowls of mac and cheese for dinner, but we want our stomachs to feel good. We want to raise a flock of German Shepherds, but we live in a dense city with very little available outdoor space. We want to be on the internet, but we don't want to be upset by what we see.

These things don't make logical sense, because humans often don't make logical sense. This is why we come to Twitter, a place that is just as flawed as we are.
