14:18 170 M Mechanic Hi Hi, are there any updates on my car? I have no updates unfortunately. We are short staffed now and haven't been able to drive your vehicle to find the error. Feel free to pick up the vehicle and take it for a second opinion because is backed up on all his jobs and your issue will more than likely be electrical. Sorry for the inconvenience and we wish you the best of luck figuring it out A A That would have been nice to know three months ago ¡Message

My car has several issues that makes it undrivable. It had to be towed to the mechanic, after they said they could take it. Every day for 3 full months I have been carpooling to and from work,
  • 05
waiting on them to fix my car. I hadn't been calling them too much because I knew they had work to do, and I didn't want to pester them. The times I did call, I
  • 06
was told they were working on it, and they would let me know when they had something to tell me. Never in a million years did I dream they hadn't even looked at my car in 3 full months.

MomentDependent 13h ago • 3 months?? That's not a mechanic, that's a parking lot. They really hit you with the 'best of luck figuring it out' like YOU don't pay THEM to do that. Smells like a 1-star Yelp review and a new mechanic's number fr

2 Tra... OP 12h ago Edited 10h ago • What's crazy is that they have all glowing 5 star reviews, and absolutely zero negative reviews! Someone I know worked there for a while, too, and they always seemed like a good place. When I first

brought it to them, I had chosen them over another mechanic because of how highly recommended they were, and also that they were slow on business at the time and needed it.

Traditional-Law-619 OP 12h ago • Insurance is not covering my repair

brmarcum 9h ago I can't even fathom how they could possibly have three months worth of backlog that they haven't had a chance to look at yours. That means they haven't been paid in three months.
  • 15
Because they don't have a backlog. They just haven't looked at YOUR car. Find a new place and leave an honest review with pics of the chat.

Traditional-Law-619 OP • 5h ago • I can't fathom, either. Especially since when I first dropped off my car there months ago, business was very slow and had been for a couple weeks.

field and I can tell you that shops are struggling to find good techs. OE are constantly making it harder to get info (so you have to go to the dealer) and reducing estimated labor times to the point it's hard to make money (for both shop and tech). Sounds like there's more to it though.

picture, they said they were "sorry that we didn't notify you earlier and for assuming the vehicle didn't have to be rushed"... what? It just doesn't make any sense. It's completely out of the blue, it feels like.

Weary-Pangolin6539 • 11h ago • Seems like they didn't want to deal with the hassle.
  • 24
Traditional-Law-619 OP 10h ago Yeah, I just wish they would have said so instead of stringing me along for months that I could have been having it fixed somewhere else
