Sarisha @carbdiem Follow Idc if this makes me a Karen, if your UberEats profile picture shows that you're a woman and my delivery person shows up and they're a cis man then I will report every time and so should you!!!

Sarisha @carbdiem. 1d Replying to @carbdiem I cannot get over the fact that this has been a thing for so long. It is such a huge safety issue!!!

Ksana @bigarms4me. 1d Replying to @carbdiem if you're this frightened of strangers showing up at your house, I think you should probably just stop paying for things to be delivered to your house

cat ♡ @catssillyworld. 1d Replying to @carbdiem i get where ur coming from but like it's for food? you don't really get to choose who ur delivery driver is regardless and u normally don't have to have any contact with them at all

Shay @ShayMcCarthy1.1d Replying to @carbdiem Having worked in this industry, 100% your concerns are valid. I've had to call the police to a location due to a rider becoming aggressive with a female member of my team. Problem is these companies don't care, as people working illegally is vital to their business model.

@amor_y_flor -1d Replying to @carbdiem A lot of the places I dropped food off at were sketchy asl so I started taking my bf with me and he would physically drop things off while I drove the car. I didn't even think of this bc im worried ab *my* safety but now I know, and it can be spooky for others too.

anj@sunrsetequila • 1d Replying to @carbdiem Idk I had one guy doing deliveries for his girlfriend bc she was sick but still needed money to make rent that month

    brandon @brandonlcamila 1d • Replying to @carbdiem A lot of times it's couples Imfao you're so miserable

4KT WHO YOU HATE @royal_bobby24 Replying to @carbdiem Follow if you are so worried about people knowing your address then go pick up your own food

Skindie @iamnotluvless . 1d Replying to @carbdiem 100%. Though sometimes the uber eats delivery driver is a woman who is accompanied by a man and I can understand that. Might be for her safety but she definitely should be making the drop off to the door

NFTJordy @jordy9700 1d Replying to @carbdiem Why are you choosing delivery if you don't want strangers knowing where you live. Please stop ruining people's income over your own laziness and predispositions
  • 13
rebecca jennings @rebexxxxa • 49m there seems to be a large group of women who believe that simply encountering a man in their daily lives puts them in immediate danger, and also that its feminist to believe this
  • 14
Avery Edison @aedison 17h • this is part of the evil of these apps. deep down, we know that we are engaging in hyper-exploitation when we use them, and one of the ways humans deal with a moral weight like that is by rationalizing why it's okay to do the bad thing. "my burrito courier wants to hurt me!!"

maya @mayaisfiya 15h . there is nothing i hate more than delivery app discourse but voluntarily giving your name and address to a megacorporation and then worrying about a man working for said corporation having your address is ridiculous
  • 16
Ben Kesslen @benkesslen ⚫ 2h • sorry to be dramatic but i actually think food delivery culture is one of the worst things to ever happen to modern society
  • 17
gina_scooter @gina_scooter - 17h I think what's really great about this is it never seems to occur to them that women do uber eats with their husbands because they're worried about approaching strange doors at night themselves.
  • 18
REPORT TOWN MONT Grace @graceyldn⚫ 1d I think it's reasonable for women to feel slightly concerned about the safety of opening a door to someone who isn't who they claim to be. NORMAN ROCKWELL
  • 19
wizard boy @GRUELCOOK 10m No offense but if you're worried about strangers having your address you could just not use UberEats

Countess Flagrante Follow @bigg_toblerone There are many reasons for women to be fearful of men so I make this next statement as gently as it can be made without losing the point: If you've ever ordered a pizza then you don't care about men dropping off your food.
  • 21
Hannah VDP @hgvandepeer -1d Gross that people aren't getting how real a threat this is to women's safety. I know several women who've had to put in complaints about UberEats riders messaging them/tracing them on social media after delivery, or making inappropriate comments to their faces
  • 22
Ali B @wtflanksteak. 7m I don't really pay attention to the name/ profile picture but more than once I've gotten delivery in the evening and it's a CHILD at my door with my food. THAT seems way more concerning than a guy using his girlfriend's profile.

Sarah York @thesarahyork • 1h "I was told my $22 Sweetgreen slop bowl would be hand delivered by a DIFFERENT slave than the one at my doorstep!!"
  • 24
SLUG @generalslug. 9h if you're really that afraid for your safety maybe you should order less takeout
