Frodo didn't know what he was getting into when he accepted his mission to take the Ring to Mordor. Lucky for this formidable Baggins, he had a surly bestie to accompany him along the way (not Gollum), who knew even LESS about this fateful task. Although Frodo believed that it was his burden to bear on the doomful journey to Mount Doom, along the way, Samwise Gamgee realized it was the mission that would save all of Middle Earth.
Not to be dramatic or anything, but when I'm cozy in my loungewear, relaxing at home with Lord of the Rings on my TV, and I realize that the fridge is empty and we're out of food, I feel a bit like Frodo did back in Rivendell at Elrond's council. Unaware of the urgent perils of my journey, I slip into my sneakers, grab my keys, and venture out into the cold in search of Thai takeout to bring back to my family. You never know what may fuel your adventures–whether it's hunger or the fate of all things good in the world–but with each step beyond your front door, you're one step closer to an epic journey… Even if you're just going out for some delicious Pad See Ew to accompany your 35th watch-through of the LOTR trilogy.
