Undervalued employee proves their worth, gets $10,000 raise after Office Karen tried to get them fired: 'I turned off every automated task I had ever set up'

Sometimes, the only way to prove that you're a valuable employee is by showing and not telling. After all, most folks need to see things to believe them, and this employee had spent the better part of the last five years at their company automating systems so that tasks were far easier to complete for everyone involved, including their technologically challenged coworkers.

However, clearly, their value was underseen, unnoticed, and not reflected in their salary. After an office Karen decided that this Redditor should be on the chopping block, the original poster (OP) decided it was time to show just how valuable they actually were by turning off all the automated systems they had ever set up right before taking a two-week vacation. "That'll show them," the employee thought, and they were absolutely right. 

It took no time for the employee's actual boss to step in and ensure not only the employee's job security but also that they would stay at the company long-term.
