Heroic Horse That Was Already Rescued Turns Back to Save Two Other Horses, Turns Out She Was the Foal’s Concerned Grandmother, and She Needed to Defend Her Family

One thing that you come to understand deeply when you're a pet owner for a while is just how much animals feel - how much animals care, what they're willing to do for the ones that they love. Animals may not bond with others the same way that humans do, but they're there, they feel deeply, and we can see that through their actions. When you hear about stories of parrots saving the lives of choking babies, of cats saving freezing babies by curling up around them for warmth, or of dogs saving their owners from rattlesnakes and other dangers, a non-pet owner might attribute that to something else, but we know that it's love making them do that, making them put themselves into danger for others. 

And it's love that made this horse who had already been rescued run back into literal fire to save two other horses. You may think it's something else, but once you realize what the full story is, you will not be able to argue with us.

    When this story went viral, the first thing that we did was try to find the source of it. We needed context. We needed to know more about this horse, the horses it rescued and the situation that was happening. And what we found was absolutely amazing. Because this isn't just a random horses running in to rescue two other random horses.
