Mother refuses to take son's entitled girlfriend on family vacation, upgrades herself to first class and goes on Christmas vacay with her husband instead: ‘She scares me’
Good mothers will always want what's best for their children. The difference between a mom and her children, however, is that one might hold a bit more wisdom when it comes to friendships and relationships. When a mom sees red flags in her children's dating life, they should communicate that to them regardless of what their reaction might be. At the end of the day, teens will love who they love and will need to experience those red flags first-hand. Then, maybe they will learn.
The mom in this next story explains that she has two sons, one who has a nice girlfriend and another who has an entitled, manipulative girlfriend. The mom provides a lot of context about the latter girlfriend, stating that she expresses a profound dislike for their family. On top of that, the girlfriend expects her boyfriend's mother to pay her way for every family vacation she attends. She dislikes the family but loves her money, apparently. The mom's son gives his mother an ultimatum, claiming he'll never go on another family trip if his girlfriend is not paid for and welcomed. So, the mother upgrades to first class for Christmas vacation. Seems right to me. Scroll to read.
