'I'm going to be struggling stuck in a cold truck for Christmas': Truck driver abandoned with no money or gas after boss ghosts him during the holidays

Imagine spending your holidays in a truck with no money or gas. Sure, spending Christmas with your family can sometimes feel like the end of the world, but nothing compares to being abandoned by your boss and stuck in the freezing cold like this truck driver unfortunately was.

However, in the spirit of the holidays, it seems like a few kind folks on the internet contributed donations to this Redditor to allow him to find a hotel for the time being and even find the contact information of a few lawyers to get justice against his boss. Essentially, the driver was given the company card, which failed to work properly, leaving with no money after the vehicle broke down. After numerous attempts to contact his boss, the driver was able to finally reach him, only for the fool to ghost him and deny him funds to get him home. Talk about a big mistake! Does anyone else smell a lawsuit in the making?

    My Manager has always been a dimwit but this time he's really fund things up for me. As a Truck driver I rely on the company card to authorize purchases, including gas for the Truck. among other things.

    It you are unable to fuel up and keep the truck a liveable environment. It is a safety. hazard to you. Call every number the company has available. Especially the emergency contact

    numbers. They need to get you fueled and moving. If your company normally provides you lodging and has not that is a company emergency. Your Off hours should be determined by your driving. Not the Fuel funds.
