Adulting is the rollercoaster ride we all bought tickets for without realizing the loops and twists on it are going to make us walk around squeamish for an undisclosed period of time (a lifetime that is). We all reminisce our old naive selves who thought being a grown-up meant eating ice cream for dinner and staying up past bedtime, but Instead, we've found ourselves navigating a huge maze of responsibilities, each turn revealing a new challenge we didn't even know existed.

Just when you think you got it all figured out, life throws you a curveball that makes you question everything you thought you knew. Take, for instance, humble home appliances - supposedly, time-saving instruments, but you know as well as the following Redditor - can become the source of unexpected humiliation for many of us. 

After years of randomly and cheerfully tossing dishwasher tablets into the bottom of the machine like some sort of cleaning product confetti, the original poster (OP) of this story suddenly discovered there's a designated compartment for it. Years of subpar dish cleaning, mysterious residues, and battles with crusty pasta suddenly made sense.

I wouldn't know anything about it because my dishwasher wasn't turned on for the past three years and serves as chaos storage (that's a win on my part. Change my mind!)

And It's moments like these that make us realize adulting is a continuous obstacle course, filled with facepalm-worthy revelations and the constant suspicion that everyone else got a secret guidebook we somehow missed.
