As if Christmas were not sweet, cuddly, fluffy, and awwdorable enough, people decided it was important to add some lovin' plants for some romance. Not to ruin the holiday spirit with our cynical vibe, but don't you think this tradition is a bit invasive of personal space?

Anyway, animals don't mind much about purrsonal space. If you ask our pawsome pets, they're ready to lick our faces wholeheartedly any day of the week, and no mistletoe is needed. Mistletoes are for shy folks who need a push, that's not them.

Then, their gazes locked and pulses rushing, they would prepare their tongues for a good slobbery smooch. Such a romantic Christmas! And what about giraffes? Has someone given any thought to a timid giraffe who would greatly appreciate some help with pick-ups, but is just too tall to benefit from this effective New Year's tradition? Finally, consider the lobster. They aren't monogamous like Phoebe said, but they would love some lovin' nevertheless, and no one thinks about placing the mistletoe plant in water.
