This Week’s Heartwarming Helping of Newly Adopted Cats for Fresh Feline Pawrents (January 3, 2024)

It's the first week of 2025, and that means that the cat adoption stories we have for you guys today are fresh, fresh, fresh. The people who adopted the kitties here decided to make their 2025 pawmazing, and we so support that. It is time to meet the newly adopted faces of the week.

All throughout the year, every single week, we bring you a bunch of new and wholesome cat adoption stories, to make sure that you start each and every one of your Fridays with a smile. We do it because it makes us so happy to find these stories, and we know that it makes you guys so happy to read them. Win - win.

And of course, an extra large thank you goes to those of you who adopted the senior cats, the sick cats, the cats who have been rehomed or waiting in the shelters for a long time and every other cat who needs a little more love and care than most. "This is Fig or Figgy! I found him at 3 weeks old living in a bird cage with no food or water. Infested with tape worms and fleas. I didn't want a cat but I was scared he would never get adopted for superstitious reasons if I gave him to a shelter :( He is 1 now, and a VERY good boy. He is the most tolerant cat I've ever met. You can't tell from the pictures but he is a monstrous cat. He's a lean 15 pounds. Fun Fact: His Vet adores him as she only rescues black cats!"

"My son (19y) adopted this cat from the ACC. He was a stray, estimated to be about 10y. Olive is the sweetest cat, always chirping and purring. He's still not very cuddly but is always hanging out and loves to come get some pets. He has the most beautiful, minky fur I've ever felt. Last picture is when we first got him, he was all skin and bones. First picture is now , we might need to cut back a little on food. Weird thing is, his eyes never dilate to slits. They're always mostly round even though they dilate a little smaller. He seems to see fine."
