They're forevermore immortalized on the vinyl records in the attic and on the band t-shirts in our closet, going down in history as the coolest dudes ever to live, right there alongside Ted Nugent and his valiant, great white buffalo.

I recently just learned that Ted Nugent, the legendary guitar soloist who played songs like "Stranglehold" and "Cat Scratch Fever," once rode onstage on the back of a bison… A BISON! To debut his song, "Great White Buffalo," Uncle Ted rode up on the back of a buffalo, nearly 6ft tall at the shoulder, in the midst of an enormous, cheering crowd. And with the chieftan's headdress on, he dismounted his steed, epically grabbed his guitar, and started shredding.
Only in 1978… Am I right?
Nowadays, no musician–no matter how big and famous–could get away with that sort of stunt. Unimaginable liability, the threat of a lawsuit, and general animal activism would nip that right in the bud. But despite its radical nature and the sketchy danger of the stunt, Ted Nugent riding a bison on stage at a concert is pretty dynamite.
