Many like to dismiss memes as one of the most lowbrow forms of entertainment, and to be fair, they are not always wrong. However, it still takes a certain level of taste and discernment to find ones that you like, that develop your sense of humor, and that are worth collecting and sending to friends. Not every meme is going to be for every person, and that is part of why we all get to enjoy such a wide variety of funny internet pictures. Being able to judge, include, and discard as we see fit is all part of the entertainment process. Then again, so is having that precious rotting in bed phone time and simply consuming whatever garbage happens to pop up on the screen. A happy medium is perhaps the best thing to aim for. After all, this is only memes that we are talking about looking at here.
