The irony being, that when the time comes for our cat children to stand up for themselves and save the fort from the infurstation of mischievous mice, they tend to look on confused. First at the mouse moving like a madman and then at us to try and understand whether we intend for them to actually go after the mouse, and if so how and why we plan to do that.

Add to that the fact that cats only meow because they have biologically evolved to understand that meowing like a kitten melts our hearts and forces our hand, and you have quite the clawminal concoction on your hands. The question now lies in whether or not we need to get ear plugs or noise-cancelling headphones to protect us from their meowing…

There is little we can do to resist the incessant begging of a cat child who is hungry for ham. They have unfortunately already tasted the honey smothered treat and now cannot live another moment of life without it in their mouths. Oh, how our best intentions can produce the worst results… -
