23 Clawminal Cats Using Their Cuteness to Convince Hoomans to Hand Them Tasty Treats

The story of how cats caught the attention of hoomans is rather interesting. As opposed to dogs, cats quickly realized that there were two things that they did that attracted us hoomans to them and not the other way around. They are meowing like a kitten and hunting in-house vermin to avoid being smitten by disease. However, what we had no idea that they would do, is quickly forget about their hunting duties and start to focus their feline fury upon being cute enough to crack our iron will and convince us to hand them over tasty treats. And while we do not necessarily need them for their mouse management capabilities anymore, there will always come a time in a cat child's life when his or her family will call upon them to pawtect the family from a furry intruder.

The irony being, that when the time comes for our cat children to stand up for themselves and save the fort from the infurstation of mischievous mice, they tend to look on confused. First at the mouse moving like a madman and then at us to try and understand whether we intend for them to actually go after the mouse, and if so how and why we plan to do that.

Add to that the fact that cats only meow because they have biologically evolved to understand that meowing like a kitten melts our hearts and forces our hand, and you have quite the clawminal concoction on your hands. The question now lies in whether or not we need to get ear plugs or noise-cancelling headphones to protect us from their meowing…

There is little we can do to resist the incessant begging of a cat child who is hungry for ham. They have unfortunately already tasted the honey smothered treat and now cannot live another moment of life without it in their mouths. Oh, how our best intentions can produce the worst results…
