Heartwarming doggo saves his daddy's life by keeping him warm and calling for help after his pawrent broke his neck, they both live happily ever after

Doggos really are man's best friend. They lick our faces to make us smile, they wag their tails so hard that their behinds shake when they see us, and if they could, they would literally sleep on top of us (for protection, of course). They might be the derpiest member of the animal kingdom and we just can't help it - we smile every time we see one on the street. It's instinctual. 

Sure, cats are great, but will cats keep you warm and call for help if you fall and can't get up? We're not so sure. After running outside to grab another log for the fire on New Year's Eve, one unsuspecting dog pawrent slipped in the snow and broke his neck. The only one who heard him was his devoted doggo - who stayed with him for 20 hours licking his face and lying on him to keep him warm during the freezing Michigan winter. Luckily, the neighbor went to check and got them all to the hospital in time. Now they're living happily ever after!

  • Golden retrievers are the goodest boys. We love all doggos (except Chihuahuas), but we do have a special place in our hearts for goofy goldens. We grew up with two of them, and they were the best doggo siblings we could have asked for. They loved playing with us. If we had one complaint, it's that they would always try to eat the snacks right out of our hands if we weren't paying attention!

    He tried to scream for help, but the only one who heard his cry was his Golden Retriever, Kelsey. The dog prevented Bob from falling victim to hypothermia by lying on top of him and licking his face and hands to keep him awake.

    Eventually, he lost consciousness. But the silence didn't stop Kelsey from barking, and eventually the dog's efforts paid off. The next day, Bob's neighbor found him and called 911.

  • We're so happy that the hospital staff let the man be reunited with his cute canine while recovering in the hospital. He did save his life, after all. That doggo deserves chimken and steak for dinner for the rest of their lives!
