When looking for a new job, we all want to impress a workplace we interview for so badly that sometimes we forget that the hiring process is about the vibe check as much as it is about professional compatibility. We prepare for all the questions about the job, our experience, and the company, but we rarely prepare how to prove that our personalities will mash well with the workplace and its people.

Luckily, personal compatibility is usually not something we need to prepare for, it is either there or not. Interviewers have ways of determining whether a candidate will fit with the rest of the team, and all candidates have to do is be themselves. They shouldn't try to be someone else, because, in the long run, it simply won't work.

However, candidates should still keep their eyes open for these compatibility tests and try to be on their best behavior if they want to secure the job. If they are not willing to put in that extra mile, they are just wasting everyone's time.
