That moment they felt comfortable enough to ask for your love, to tell you that they feel safe by your side. We remember it like it was yesterday…and we won't soon forget it.

• We adopted a kitten a few years ago that was an extremely nervous cat. She didn't play like the rest of the kittens in her litter. She was scared of everything. She took time. She took patience. She's still growing, and still very nervous, but she's able to live life more freely with us by her side. It is a journey, but we wouldn't trade her for the world.
