'[He's] gone from tiny little adorable kitten to enormous': Person rescues a starved itty bitty kitty that was stung by a scorpion, saves his life, and adopts him into his loving family

A little love and care can go a long way. That's what stories like these teach us. Disasters can happen to anyone at any time. It's the way that we treat them afterward that matters. So many people probably walked by this poor injured kitten. We're sure that countless people saw it and didn't stop, not for one second. But one person did, and one kind person is all that this kitten needed. Rescuing a kitten, saving its life, for that one kitten, it's all a matter of one - one person, one act of kindness, one moment of someone putting a hurt animal above themselves. 

Thankfully, there are so many good people out there. Enough people stop to rescue helpless kittens that we can write stories like these almost every day. And when there is so much chaos and negativity in the world, seeing these stories, writing about these people, it's the best thing that we can do - for ourselves and probably for humanity in general. More people should see the kindness and pawsitivity that is all around them.

  • This kitty clearly wanted to keep living. It knew that there was something better out there - a home where it will be spoiled and fed and loved every day of its life. Scorpion or not, it was not ready to go, and it fought and fought, and now, thanks to the amazing person who rescued him, he is living the dream.

    Sith Rose OP 11h ago • He is a Flamepoint! He doesn't have very many points, though. Just the one ear, a patch on his side where he got his sub-cutaneous fluids when he was a wee starveling, and his glorious orange tail.

    DynamoSexytime • 4h ago They get more flamey and pointy as the years go on! We adopted a bonded brother and sister a while back and they get more magnificent every year. And sweeter! They were practically feral when we got them and one cuddles now. They both put up with our evil older cat. Even though they're three times her size they never whap her back.

    • Sith Rose OP 4h ago Oh, my oldest Siamese mix is coming up on eight years old, I know the toasting well. He's simply...very pointless. If the fur on his nose was going to flame up, it would have grown back orange because that's how color-point fur works. :) So we know his nose will stay white.

    Sith Rose OP • 11h ago This was after some of the worst of the scabbing came off. We knew when it grew back white that he'd never get the points on his nose. There's a tiny bit of orange remaining on the tip of his nose, but just a near-invisible bit.

  • That sounds like a happy kitty right there. He has gone through a lot. He deserves a nice warm lap and a whole lot of petting. We wish you both many, many happy and healthy years together, without any more scorpions interfering with your lives.

    Sith Rose OP ⚫ 10h ago The vet recommended a transfusion, and sent us home with meds and prayers because we couldn't afford a transfusion, or justify using precious blod on a kitten we weren't sure would make it because of starvation. He survived and thrived gloriously. :)
