It's easy to get fixated on the little things with parenting; it's tiresome, you can never clock out, and kids drain your bank account like no other. While these things are true and can be incredibly frustrating, it's essential to sit back occasionally and think about the enormity of bringing lives into this world. Parents have one of the most critical jobs in this world: creating and nurturing human people! It's not an easy job to do well, and anyone who has so selflessly taken years and years out of their adult lives to care for little humans has my utmost respect. There's no way of knowing how raising a kid will be. The only thing you know for sure going in is that it will be tough, and if you're still trucking along, I'm proud of you. If you're a parent in desperate need of a laugh right now, these parenting posts will surely provide at least one.

    Hi everyone, Not related to weaning When my son was born, on the naming ceremony day we named him Abhimanyu. There was no purpose behind chosing the name except that it sounds good. During the naming ceremony we have to whisper the chosen name in the babies ear. So we did that and then told everyone about it. I bought flashcards with picture so i can start teaching her but she knows all of them. So I bought flashcard WITHOUT PICTURES, but she can read all of them too.     All-star contributor I'm not this way inclined but when I hear of something like this (a one year old reading is amazing to me) I can't help but wonder if past lives is a thing. Like they know how to read already so it's like a part of their brain has woken up. I don't know how to explain what I'm thinking haha. But that's truly amazing at the age of one. I think I would speak to my child health nurse or someone like that and see what you can do with your little one & is there anything out there

    Author she loves playing. Actually our house is like an indoor playground due to lots of toys. She communicates well too and very responsive. Too curious how she knows how to reach without anyone teaching her. She is doing syllables too when reading. I dont know how.
