Quite often doggo dads and moms will discuss how to make the twilight years of their dog child special and memorable, such that once they are gone there will remain a sweet memento in their minds of the good times they have had together. And more often than not, the one thing that is brought up is a bedtime routine centered around cuddling on a couch. It might seem simple and silly at first, but just like a pawrent having first skin contact with their baby, so does having your canine child climb up on your chest in their senior years, create an unbreakable and unforgettable bond that will last lifetimes.

And that is exactly what this hooman did, allowing his elderly pup to calmly fall asleep on his chest while kicking back in their recliner. Though little did this hooman know that this would quickly turn into a full-time ritual, that requires regular attendance, nor did they foresee what might happen when their geriatric pupper gets super calm and relaxed. It is funny how sometimes messing up actually makes for the best situations in life. Some call it failing upwards but in a certain sense it can be contributed to the universe gently pushing us towards what we are truly meant to be doing.
