Having such mental computing power is a wonderful thing, but as the saying goes 'heavy is the head that wears the crown'. And sometimes it just becomes too much to keep up with the mental demands that come with such an intelligent mind. Sometimes you just want to switch it all off, so that you could stare blankly at a wall and have the time of your life laughing about a crack in the paint. But seeing as that is not an option, at least right now, we turn to the next best thing which is of course single brain celled cats and their dumb and silly acts.

For you see cats do in fact have the ability to turn their brain activity down and they can turn it down so low that suddenly even the most banal of things become the most entertaining event of the year. That might look like smushing your face on a pane of glass, or bathing exclusively with a watermelon, or catching yourself in the mirror and trying to figure out how that other cat just appeared out of nowhere. However, they do it, it is simply a joy to be around when they do.
