Parents keep pestering 34-year-old son to remarry after his wife passes away, sister tells them to stop: 'If they keep pushing the topic they will lose him'

As much as the idea of 'soulmates' feels like the stuff of myths, some people truly do find the one. The lucky few who get to meet their prince charming, their dream girl, or their 'person' won't let the rest of us forget it and will do whatever it takes to make that person feel loved and cherished. Although it stings to see some people get exactly what they want, it gives the rest of us hope that love is alive and well in a world as strange and confusing as ours.

The people who tell you that there's no one else in the world for them besides the person they love will insist on this truth even if their person leaves this mortal coil well before they do. Terri Irwin, for example, has said that there's no one for her but Steve. And when this woman's brother insists that he does not want to remarry after his wife passes away, she believes him. Their parents, however, have a hard time grasping this idea. So, is this woman right to say that if her parents keep telling the brother to remarry, he'll push them away? Or should she just stay out of it?

    Definitely not the a hole I'm glad you're supporting your brother in this decision. Some people just don't date after a spouses death and that's totally ok. Your brother will continue to heal on his own time and your parents seriously need to respect that.
