Boyfriend finds meaning in feeding family of stray cats, girlfriend discovers the midnight monchers are actually possums: ‘I saw an enormous possum just devouring’

Ah, you know, sometimes we try and we try, but no matter what we do, we are like a boat trying to navigate a current that is simply too strong. Meandering from side to side, gaining inches at a time. As is the case for this wholesome hooman who wanted nothing more than to feed a family of stray cats who could not manage to feed themselves. And after several nights of leaving out food and coming back to an empty bowl, this hooman thought he found purrpouse in his life, that at least these few feline friends depended on him for sustenance. However, the truth was a little further departed from this hooman's hopes.

It turned out that it was not a friendly family of felines who were monching the delicious food left out for them, but in fact a couple of crafty possums, as well as a few other surprise critters. It just goes to show that you cannot tell what kind of impact your actions can have upon the world, but that they will be significant and will be long-lasting, even if they are not what you intended them to be.

  • This is a classic case of ‘best laid plans of mice and men’, the boyfriend just wanted to do something nice for the neighborhood cattos, but ended up supporting a whole different species, although by the sounds of it, it has ended up being a whole community of critters. But that is the thing about good vibes. When you put them out there, it attracts a whole lot of good with them.

  • Literally the truest thing that has been posted on the internet for quite a while now. Just because an animal seems unsightly or undesirable does not mean that they do not deserve to be fed. Especially if it is an animal whose natural habitat has been encroached upon by hoomans.
