Hey there folks of the internet. It's nothing short of shocking when you actually meet a good guy who has all the green flags. He takes you out to nice restaurants, he compliments you, he offers to drive you and pick you up, he's engaged with you and your life, and he doesn't seem to have any red flags yet. Though some people are better at hiding it than others, it's still a good sign to have the green flags in the beginning. When I was younger, I thought that I could teach a man how to be a good boyfriend to me. I thought I could show them empathy, or love, or how to communicate. Those relationships didn't last, but they taught me some very powerful lessons. If someone wants to learn and change and grow, they're going to do it because of them, not because someone is trying to force them to.

They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, and when it comes to relationships, some people just have to learn from experience. But if you're someone who can work with your partner in ways that feel like a give and take, an equal exchange, then you've found yourself a green flag fellow.

Being in a relationship is such a warm and comforting feeling. It's beautiful to know that you have that special someone in your life, that you have their support, appreciation, and respect. You have someone to laugh with, cry with, and do fun activities. Relationships are a lot of work, but if you're willing to put in the effort you could go far.
