It's hard to hear when someone has gone through all the motions of a budding relationship with us, only to tell us that they don't feel the spark. It's particularly offensive when there was no conversation about relationship intentions in the first place, so it's just an empty phrase that says, 'You have feelings, and I don't.' Are people actually leading people on anymore? Or are they just saying they don't want to and get on with it?
