Salty boss refuses to give employee shifts after they can't work one weekend, employee refuses to return his uniform unless boss picks it up from their house

• What is the “old-fashioned” way, you might ask? Well, I'd call it getting under one's skin by way of semantics. Nothing bothers folks more than reading into anything super literally, so that's exactly what the employee does when their boss expects them to hand-deliver their uniform to him upon losing his job. They don't think the handbook called for that, and the boss puts on a brave face even though he's totally embarrassed.
