Even though we, as adults, love to act like teenagers are a mess, and generally have no clue about anything in life, deep down we all know we should give them more credit. It's challenging to remember how hard it was to be a teenager once we're surrounded by adult problems. But if we just take a minute to really think about our teenage years, surely we can all remember how much we actually had to go through. 

Parents who make an effort to show their teenagers the love and appreciation they truly deserve in those years–are highly good parents in our book. Parents who dismiss their kids and use excuses like 'you're just a kid' or 'you'll understand when you grow up', should take a step back and look at how their relationship with their kids is actually going, and maybe they'll be up for a change in their attitude.

The mom in the story below definitely needs a change in her attitude toward her teenage daughter, who by the age of 15 has already been through more than most adults.
