'[He] isn't even 10 months old yet...': Woman adopts floofy maine coon kitten and he outgrows her expectations, then keeps getting bigger

Howdy, friends! You never know what you're going to get when you adopt a kitten. The runt of the litter could turn out to be a giant, floofy fluffball by the time they're older, or you could adopt the chonkiest kitten and they grow up to be a string bean of a cat that is more length than body. Now, we love both options, chonky fellers and luscious long bois, but we also can appreciate the ones in between. But the most interesting ones are the kittens that never stop growing. They just keep getting bigger until they become more like lions than cats!

This purrticularly tends to happen with maine coon kittens, like the one in the story below. Meet Nimbus, a floofy kitten who got adopted by a wholesome woman. He went from sleeping in the nook of her neck to taking up her whole torso in only nine months! And he just keeps getting growing by the second.   • At first we said, “Oh, he doesn't look that big," and then we saw the picture below and quickly changed our minds. We love maine coon cats…in theory. But we already have smaller cats that run our lives and control our house, we don't need one that is half our size to add to the mix.

    Desperate-Pear-860 • 8h ago He's a big boy! I have a 16 lb floofinator that is 24" nose to butt. He doesn't try to curl up on my neck but he will lay on the back of the couch behind my head. And he jumps up on my lap for cuddles and I have to readjust my lap pillow and my laptop so he can put his head on my lap.
