Roofscaling Stray Tuxedo Cat Leaps Through a Second-Story Window to Cat-Burgle the Hearts of the Whole Family

Agile, swift, and always up to some sort of mischief, cats can find themselves in some purrcarious positions. We often see cats up in a tree, hiding in the highest kitchen shelves, or scaling the curtains just to get a better vantage point from above, and usually cats are well-equipped to get themselves down from even the most treacherous climbs. However, every now and then, a cat runs out of their nine lives and is faced with a quandary. 

If it was so easy to climb up here, why is it so hard to get down again?

Alas, cats may be graceful and full of spry spirit, but what comes up doesn't always come down quite so simply. This kitty in our next story found himself in a purrplexed position after getting spooked by an upcoming snowstorm. Scared by the temperature changes and the drop in air pressure, he scaled the side of a house and got trapped on the roof. This kitty was almost 'Gone With the Wind,' but now he's named Rhett Buttler

  • The neighborhood stray is no longer a stray. We luckily got him in before a big snowstorm last week. The vet says he's 3-4 years old. He's a very sweet and handsome man with a cool scar from his life on the street. He was fully intact when I brought him in so he's currently enjoying his fluffy cone of shame while recovering from his neuter.

    After many outdoor scraps with the other street cats, you can see that this distiguished gentleman was no longer interested in living a life outside. Likely spotting the hoomans warm, cozy abode from street-level, he decided to take a proper gander through the second story window—little did he know, the hoomans were looking back!

    Rhett Butler was known by the hoomans of course, who had seen him floating around the neighborhood before, but until he snuck in through the window, they didn't realize he was a sweetie pie. Handsome and gentlemanly, this tomcat quickly burgled their hearts.

    First things first, this fresh new rescue needs a little snipping, and then he's going to be happy, healthy, and dry from the upcoming snowstorm. Looks like he found the shelter he needed.
